Local data
Saved targets, named lists, and recent check summaries remain only in this browser.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded or stored. Anonymous run-level outcome counters may be used for aggregate research; URLs, domains, IPs, and identifiers are never included, and no statistic is released below 100 runs.

Example result Illustrative data
The figures below are invented solely to explain the calculation; they are not benchmarks or observed account results.
How to read the result
- Strong both: at least one paid click and an organic position of 10 or better. Consider an incrementality test; dollar impact equals current cost.
- Paid only: paid activity exists without a matched top-10 organic query. The suggested action is to create or improve organic coverage.
- Organic only: the query ranks in the top 10 with no matched Ads row. It may be suitable for a paid test when economics support it.
- Weak: neither threshold is met. The model recommends deprioritizing it until demand or coverage changes.
Data sources & freshness
The engine normalizes capitalization, spacing, and common query variation, then pairs each Ads row with at most one exact or near-duplicate GSC row. Paid strength means at least one paid click. Organic strength means average position 10 or better. Unmatched GSC queries are added as organic-only or weak rows.
Features
- Four transparent quadrants with plain-language next actions.
- Paid clicks, organic clicks, paid cost, and organic position retained in every joined row.
- Local processing with explicit required-column validation.
Limitations
- Average position is not a rank guarantee, and the default thresholds are simple heuristics.
- Near-duplicate matching is lexical, not semantic; synonyms may remain separate.
- Cost is not incremental savings. Use a geo, audience, or time holdout before changing spend.
- GSC and Ads rows should cover comparable dates, countries, devices, and search types.
Frequently asked questions
What data does the paid and organic overlap tool need?
It needs a Google Ads search-terms export with Search term, Clicks, and Cost columns, followed by a GSC Queries export with Query, Clicks, Impressions, and Position columns.
How are paid and organic terms matched?
The tool normalizes query text and joins exact or near-duplicate terms. It does not infer semantic similarity between differently worded searches.
Does strong performance in both channels mean I should pause paid search?
No. The result identifies a candidate for a controlled test. Brand defense, conversion value, geography, device mix, and true incrementality still need to be considered.
What does dollar impact mean?
For strong-both rows, dollar impact is the current paid cost associated with that search term. It is spend exposed to a test, not a savings forecast.
Is my Ads or GSC data uploaded?
No. Both CSV tables are parsed and joined locally in your browser.
